5 things you should know about the September issue of “Vogue Polska:
The September issue of Vogue is one of the most important editions of our magazine every year. This time is no different. We have prepared two unique covers, as well as a third collectible one created by artist Dominika Kowynia. What can you find in this issue of Vogue Polska? Vogue Polska identifies this season’s bestsellers and the most interesting debuts of the coming fall and winter. We also celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Jacquemus brand and visit the London house of Lucinda Chambers, one of the most influential and inspiring stylists.
The paining titled “Louder”, which you can admire on the cover of our magazine, was painted by Dominika Kowynia especially for Vogue Polska. Interviewed by Basia Czyżewska, the artist explains why her creative process can be compared to a puzzle: “I don’t know how to come up with a complete painting. Typically I start with a concept or conflict, and even when I believe I have a solution, it turns out to be just a stage leading me further,” explains Kowynia, who has been running a painting studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice for two years. “I wanted to make it a studio where everyone can find their place and create works that would not be allowed anywhere else,” declares the first female painting professor in the history of this academy.
