Anda Rottenberg on the cover of the March issue of “Vogue Polska” devoted to legends

“It is no secret we have been dreaming about her on the cover of our magazine for a long time. As this issue of Vogue Polska is devoted to legends, we have finally managed to convince her. She tells Hanna Rydlewska about what she considers her greatest treasure. For our team, it is her,” writes Ina Lekiewicz Levy, the editor-in-chief of Vogue Polska, in her editorial for the March edition of the magazine. Anda Rottenberg, an art critic and curator, a writer and journalist, head of the Vogue Polska fashion section, and a true icon appeared on the cover of our magazine. She reveals the story of her life in the text titled “I still care”. “I wanted to fit in, but somehow I couldn’t. I was the odd one out. I tried to find the middle ground between what felt good for me and what was accepted,” says Anda Rottenberg, bringing back the memories of her school years, her first artistic fascinations, and most important friendships.

In her text titled “As the work, so the pay”, Kamila Wagner analyzes the collections designed by a number of fashion houses for the coming season, identifying major trends, including workwear, e.g. Miu Miu aprons, Coperni tool belts, or creased fabric by Calvin Klein. The head of the Vogue Polska magazine section takes a closer look also at designers debuting as creative directors in her article titled “Haunted houses”. How heavy pressure do they have to endure? What should direct them in their creative pursuits? Who wishes them success, and who would rejoice in their failure? What else are Matthieu Blazy, Jonathan Anderson and Demna afraid of? Natalia Żelazowska takes up the subject of product heroes. Those evergreen designs, such as the Loewe Puzzle bag, the Tabi shoes by Maison Margiela, or the Cartier Tank watch, become the symbols of fashion houses. Craved by many, available to few.
